Does Representation Really Matter?
A mental health coaching practice providing individual and group support, professional development and training opportunities with an intentional emphasis on the Black and Brown experience…because we matter.
Welcome!
My name is Simone Golden and I am a Licensed Social Worker, Certified Anger Management Specialist-II, and Mental Health Coach with more than 20 years of experience working primarily with individuals, children, and families of color. I started my career in community mental health and it was in these early years that I began to understand that my TRUE knowledge within the helping profession would come from the hands on, frontline, immersive work that truly allowed for me to connect with not only the people, but also the systems that are in place to support them.
I founded Golden TLC in 2020 with the purpose of creating spaces in the mental health learning sphere that are not only safe, but culturally informed. It is my goal in all the work that I do to leave folks feeling more informed and empowered. It is equally important that I acknowledge the unique experiences of the Black and Brown communities and incorporate specific strategies for both them and allies that I serve in a continued effort to increase awareness, decrease stigma, and promote healing.
Are you ready to do the work? Contact me today to get started!
